Salads are rich in fiber, vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients. Furthermore, they have no processed food, no saturated fat, and no trans fats. There is no enriched flour, chemicals, or other harmful substances. And so obviously it is healthy and does wonders for you.

Recently, a study by Louisiana State University researchers involving more than 17,000 individuals found that those who ate just one serving of salad daily consumed significantly more folate, vitamins B6, C and E than those who didn’t. Furthermore, and most importantly, one daily serving of salad was shown to increase longevity by 2 years!

To get the most health benefits, include vegetables rich in antioxidants such as dark leafy greens, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots and red and green bell peppers.

    Hi, I am a salad lover…well to be honest, salad is a newly found love of mine…I used to hate eating anything that is green and raw but slowly I started discovering that with the right sauce, salads can be quite yummy!!! So here is my secret sauce, I am giving it out as a service since Salads improve and lengthen our lives:

    – Olive Oil with Apple Cider Vinegar (or Balsamic Vinegar) and salt
    It is really that simple and healthy…try it, you won’t feel guilty and you will not regret it…not to mention that both Olive oil and Vinegar are excellent to fight heart disease and obesity!
    – Another Sauce would be Lemon (squeeze fresh lemons), olive oil, Crushed garlic cloves and salt!

    That is it! Excellent!
